Some basic requirements for greenhouse structures

2024-04-18

Intelligent greenhouses have a comprehensive environmental control system, which can directly adjust indoor temperature, light, water, fertilizer, gas and many other factors to achieve year-round high yields,

stable and fine vegetables and flowers, and good economic benefits.

Greenhouses will bear various loads during construction and use. The hot air structure is a stress-bearing system that bears various loads. It is generally composed of purlins, roof trusses, beams, trenches, columns, etc. The components of the greenhouse structure are called components. Greenhouse structural design is to choose a reasonable balance between economy and reliability, so that the greenhouse structure can meet various expected functions. At present, common greenhouses include plastic greenhouses, single-slope solar greenhouses and multi-span greenhouses. Greenhouse structures include steel structures, bamboo-wood structures and hybrid structures, among which steel structures are the most widely used.

Based on the steel structure design ideas, the basic requirements for greenhouse structure design and the functional requirements of the greenhouse structure are summarized. The purpose of greenhouse structure design is to ensure that the designed structure is safe, applicable, economical, reasonable and has sufficient reliability within the design basis period under specified conditions (normal design, normal construction, normal use and normal maintenance). This structure can complete the predetermined function.

Basic regulations and requirements for greenhouse structural design

1. Security

The greenhouse structure can withstand various loads that may occur during normal construction and normal use, and will not exceed the material strength limit or lose structural stability under load.

2. Applicability

The greenhouse structure has good working performance under normal use loads, as long as it does not cause excessive deformation during normal use.

3. Durability

Under normal use and maintenance conditions, the greenhouse structure has sufficient durability within the specified service life, and the service life of the structure will not be affected by factors such as corrosion. A greenhouse structure is considered reliable if the above three requirements are met. Obviously, the method of increasing safety margin in design can always meet the requirements of structural reliability, but it will inevitably reduce the economy of structural design. Structural reliability and economy are often contradictory. Therefore, scientific design requires that the structure be economical and reasonable on the basis of ensuring structural reliability.

The design life of the greenhouse structure is determined according to the type and purpose of the greenhouse, generally 15 years, 10 years or 5 years. The minimum design service life of glass greenhouses is not less than 15 years. It is recommended that greenhouses with precious crops or expensive indoor equipment have a minimum design life of no less than 10 years.
