Temperature management: Temperature is a key factor in the growth of greenhouse vegetables. Different vegetables have slightly different temperature requirements, but the suitable growth temperature for most vegetables is between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius. It is important to note that the night temperature should be kept between 15 and 20 degrees Celsius to prevent abnormal plant growth. As the outside temperature rises, ventilation and cooling should be carried out in time to avoid high temperature damage.

Humidity control: The control of humidity inside the greenhouse is also very important. High humidity may cause diseases, so it is necessary to reduce humidity through ventilation and other means to maintain appropriate air humidity.

Water management: Irrigation is another important link in greenhouse vegetable cultivation. Large flooding should be avoided, and drip irrigation or sprinkler irrigation should be used to reduce evaporation and disease risks caused by moist soil surface. At the same time, pay attention to the appropriate amount of water supply according to the needs of the plant growth stage to avoid root diseases caused by excessive water.

Fertilization: As the plants grow, their demand for fertilizers gradually increases. Fertilizers should be applied once every 7 days or so in combination with watering. Note that topdressing should be applied in small amounts and multiple times to avoid excessive fertilization at one time, causing waste or burning of roots. At the same time, balanced fertilization should be applied, and the use of phosphorus and potassium fertilizers should be increased appropriately to improve the stress resistance of the plants.

Pest and disease control: Pest and disease control for greenhouse vegetable cultivation is basically the same as that for open-air cultivation. Comprehensive management measures should be adopted, including crop rotation, temperature and humidity management, field cleaning and seed treatment. It is important to focus on prevention and early detection and treatment of pest and disease problems.

Plant management: In the greenhouse, due to the relatively closed environmental conditions, vegetable plants are prone to leggy growth, especially eggplant and melon vegetables. The growth of the plants should be observed carefully. Once leggy growth is found, measures such as adjusting temperature and humidity, and reasonable fertilization should be taken to prevent the occurrence of falling flowers and fruits and deformed fruits.
