How to choose a seedbed system for growing hydroponic vegetables?

Seedbed systems are also a type of soilless cultivation equipment. Today, we'll focus on tidal irrigation mobile seedbeds and vertical seedbeds.

1. Tidal Irrigation Mobile Seedbeds

This type of hydroponic system provides nutrients directly to the plant's root system, enabling more efficient nutrient absorption. Tidal seedbeds, as their name suggests, flow in and out in waves, similar to the tides, providing sufficient water and nutrients for crop growth and improving water and fertilizer utilization efficiency.

Tidal irrigation allows for easy control of relative humidity, keeping crop leaves dry and promoting photosynthesis. Since soil is not required, pests and diseases are also reduced. Tidal seedbeds provide a controlled growing environment for plants, allowing for effortless cultivation of healthy crops.

Tidal seedbed systems are commonly used in greenhouses due to their relatively low installation costs.

2. Vertical Seedbeds

Compared to traditional seedbeds, vertical seedbeds are more suitable for smaller growing systems.

The multi-layered structure of vertical seedbeds allows for worry-free cultivation even in smaller spaces. The three-dimensional design improves the utilization of planting space, transforming planting from a flat surface into a three-dimensional space, thereby expanding the planting area.

Three-dimensional seedbeds are also more flexible, allowing the number of layers to be customized based on the planting site and planting needs. They are particularly suitable for urban agriculture and home gardening.
